According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 83.7 million people aged 65 and older are projected to be living in the United States by 2050.
Exercise will be crucial to restoring or maintaining their functional independence and health, as well as to gain strength and vitality while warding off inactivity-related disease and cognitive decline.
MOST OF OUR CLASSES ARE GEARED FOR INDIVIDUALS 55+ YEARS OF AGE
We program the majority of our classes for this population. Then, we can provide further modifications if needed. Progressions are always available too.
Many of the movements we do in class have a direct correlation to movements used in everyday life. For example, doing a squat is getting on and off the toilet or in and out of a chair while deadlifts are picking up an object from the ground.
Our classes are also an opportunity to be social and make friends. Yes, we are working out, but we have fun too! And there might be spontaneous dance moves from time to time. We do group activities outside of the gym as well from time to time.
This growing population of older adults have unique psychological and physiological needs. We understand that and specialize in finding creative solutions to help them meet their goals while working with any potential ailments.
